grand is over-rated
take space shuttles and space rockets, for example.
why oh why do we give them grand names
such as 'endeavour' and 'discovery'?
it creates unnecessary pressure,
as if the space shuttle is supposed to find new
and exotic worlds and galaxies and aliens
so, in the end, when the shuttles come back
and the astronauts wave to people,
we get dissapointed when we learn that
all they did was take pictures of themselves
floating around like a bunch of space monkeys
and doing experiments that noone gives a crap about
why don't we just call it 'banana'?
at times, it seems far more fitting.
and far less over-rated as well
